Haley Fisackerly, President & CEO
Entergy Mississippi, Inc.

Bio: A Mississippi native, Haley Fisackerly was named president and chief executive officer of Entergy Mississippi, Inc. in June 2008. Fisackerly brings with him 13 years of leadership experience at Entergy and demonstrated success with initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, increase efficiency and teamwork to streamline company operations, and raise the visibility of Entergy Mississippi in the community.  Fisackerly is a graduate of Mississippi State University and serves on numerous boards, including the Mississippi Museum of Art, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, SafeCity initiative, the Dixie National Sale of Junior Champions, and as chairman of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership.

Summary: Entergy Mississippi, Inc. president and chief executive officer Haley Fisackerly will discuss energy challenges and opportunities and the company’s strategies to meet the state’s growing electricity demand with smart investments and the development of new baseload capacity to ensure an affordable, efficient and reliable energy supply to power the state’s future.



David Gates, President
Atmos Energy, Mississippi Division

Bio: David Gates has served Atmos Energy as President of its Mississippi division since May of 2007. He has held several leadership positions since joining Atmos Energy in 1991 including Vice President of Operations for the Kentucky/Mid-States division before coming to Mississippi. David has served on numerous civic and industry organizations including the Jackson Metro Chamber Board, Leadership Mississippi and the MB Swayze Foundation Board. David earned an Engineering degree from Texas Tech University and is a licensed engineer.

Summary: Energy prices are a key driver of the US and Mississippi economies and recent price volatility in the energy commodity markets – including natural gas – have gained national attention. This session will provide a brief overview of the structure of the natural gas industry and will address potential solutions to achieving stability in the natural gas markets in order to strengthen our MS economy. Supply and demand have a direct effect on prices and the challenges and opportunities to address these market drivers will be discussed.



Steve Renfroe, Public & Government Affairs
Chevron, Pascagoula Refinery

Bio: Steve Renfroe is Chevron’s Public and Government Affairs Manager for Mississippi.  He is a lifelong resident of Moss Point and an eighth generation Mississippian.  Steve’s wife Debby of 37 years is a retired public kindergarten teacher and they have one adult child, Robert. Steve holds a BS in Mathematics from Mississippi College, and he taught in the Moss Point School District before accepting a position with Chevron in 1975. While at Chevron, Steve worked in the laboratory and as an environmental specialist before moving into public and government affairs in 1990. Governor Barbour has named Steve to the Governor’s Energy Task Force and his Early Childhood Advisory Council.

Summary: As Chevron’s largest wholly owned petroleum refinery, the Pascagoula Refinery processes an average of 330,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces a variety of transportation fuels and other refined products. The Pascagoula Refinery currently has a strong queue of major capital projects, continuing Chevron’s 45 year history of major investments in Mississippi.



Mike Tate, General Manage
Bunge-Ergon, Vicksburgr

Bio: Mike Tate is the General Manager of the ethanol joint venture between Bunge North America and Ergon Ethanol. A graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Business Management, Mike has been with Bunge for 12 years. During his time with Bunge he has held several positions within Bunge's Grain Division with the most recent being the Commercial Manager for Bunge's Delta District which included Louisiana and Mississippi.

Summary: The presentation will be a review of Bunge North America's and Ergon Inc.'s joint venture to operate an ethanol production facility in Vicksburg, MS. The presentation will review the plant specifications, a brief overview of how ethanol is produced and potential markets for the ethanol production.
